I have stayed at Caprivi Houseboat Safaris several times over the years, and have always had a great experience. I mainly visit the area for work, but have also done a family trip here too. The owners and staff are very helpful and welcoming, and the chalets are full of character, with an open-roof shower and balcony on the river bank.

Be sure to take a sundowner boat cruise among the hippos. I'm still waiting for the chance to do a longer houseboat safari.

Only if we had more time, we would have loved to hire the houseboat to explore the Mighty Zambezi - however, the cabin right on the river bank made up for missing out on that! So did the friendly reception and the "Gemütlichkeit" at this rustic little place. Rachelle gave us good information on things to do in and around Katima, Chobe Game Reserve and Vic Falls - and even made reservations for us at Chobe Camp! Very, very helpful, indeed.

We stayed with our family for one night at Caprivi Houseboat Safaris and we absolutely enjoyed our time. The lodge is very rustic and down-to-earth (but very clean) and lovely situated at the Zambezi river with a great view from your bed into the green. Food was excellent. We did also a sundowner on the Zambezi with Steve which was awesome with a beautiful sunset. Overall, it was one of our highlights on our tour through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

This is the ideal spot for anyone who would like to experience camping in Africa but would still like a few home comforts. The chalets have three reed walls and a thatched roof. The front is totally open looking out over the Zambezi River. When the river is high the water actually reaches to under the chalets.

We had a lovely stay at the Caprivi Houseboat Safari Lodge. Comfortable, centrally located, yet private. Great food, good service and very friendly and professional staff. Will definitely recommend this establishment.

This lodge was ideal. had a fan . good food and staff very helpful ,beautiful location on zambesi. river. I spent a lot of time in communal area and was never made to feel a nuisance. they organise various trips owner Kurt took us to a local farm as am very keen to get to know local community
